India and Kenya Advance Talks to Strengthen Pharma, Medtech, and Digital Health Collaboration

India and Kenya are deepening bilateral cooperation across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and digital health, following a series of high-level meetings in Nairobi. Indian High Commissioner Adarsh Swaika engaged Kenyan health and technology leaders to assess ongoing partnerships and explore new areas aimed at improving affordable healthcare, advancing pharma manufacturing, and accelerating Kenya’s digital transformation.

 

Expanding Healthcare and Manufacturing Synergies

Discussions with Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary of Health, Aden Duale, centered on scaling collaboration in drug development, medical device production, and workforce training. India reaffirmed its role as a long-standing healthcare partner to Kenya, highlighting strong demand for Indian medical expertise and the steady flow of Kenyan patients pursuing treatment in India’s cost-efficient, high-quality hospitals.

 

Strengthening Digital and Innovation Ecosystems

A separate meeting with Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo focused on accelerating joint ICT and digital health initiatives. Talks emphasized digital skilling, infrastructure modernization, and deeper cooperation between Indian and Kenyan startup ecosystems. Kenyan officials noted the importance of expanding technology partnerships to support national broadcaster upgrades and broader digital transformation objectives.
