Thermo Fisher Expands India Presence with Customer Experience and Bioprocess Design Centers in Hyderabad

Thermo Fisher Scientific has inaugurated two new facilities in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley, the Customer Experience Centre (CEC) and Bioprocess Design Center (BDC), with an investment of ₹85–90 crore. The centers aim to accelerate research, innovation, and skill development, offering hands-on training and collaborative programs for scientists, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.

Driving Innovation Across Biopharma and Life Sciences
The CEC and BDC showcase 50 integrated workflows across 20 applications, including cell and gene therapy, mRNA, oncology, proteomics, and analytical sciences. Supporting 200–250 researchers annually, the centers provide access to advanced technologies, bench-to-pilot scale biologics and vaccine manufacturing, and process optimization capabilities using single-use systems.

Strengthening Telangana as a Global Life Sciences Hub
Developed in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, the centers align with the state’s Life Sciences Mission, reinforcing Telangana’s vision as a global innovation hub. By facilitating rapid prototyping, skill development, and industry collaborations, Thermo Fisher’s expansion positions India as a key player in biopharma, healthcare, and clean energy sectors.
